Tasty Chocolate Chip Muffins

For my second dessert, I took on the task of making some chocolate chip muffins!

Now, this is something that I’ve attempted in the past and the result was… okay. The muffins tasted fine, but they were a lot denser than I wanted them to be and they were a bit more on the bitter side what with the dark chocolate chocolate chips that I used.

So, this time, I resolved on making better tasting chocolate chip muffins and the results were pretty great! Unlike the ramekin brownies I made not too long ago, the muffins were an instant hit with my family. I made six jumbo muffins and they were gone within the next day.

The muffins have a nice subtle sweetness to them, a great distribution of chocolate chips in them, and had a nice, crisp top.

Recipe wise, it was really simple! So simple in fact, that the only things I needed to buy from the store were the chocolate chips themselves and the paper tins for the muffins. I used the recipe from easybudgetrecipes.com

The recipe is as followed:

Dry ingredients:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup granulated sugar

½ teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

Wet ingredients:

1 large egg

1/3 cup milk

After mixing the wet ingredients and dry ingredients separately, combine them together and fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and once your mixture is ready, pour the mixture into the muffin tray and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.

I was really happy with the way these turned out! Not gonna lie, I was really happy with all the praise my family gave me and I feel that it was well-deserved. It was so easy that I’m considering making them again just for the fun of it.
